About Us

On August 6, 2010, Bob Forsyth answered a call that no parent ever wants to answer – his young son had been injured in a serious wake-boarding accident at the cottage and was suffering from a possible spinal injury. Air lifted to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Bob’s son was in critical condition, surrounded by countless healthcare professionals attempting to save his life.

Thankfully, over the next few hours, Bob’s son’s condition steadily improved. The quick response of properly trained first responders, the flight crew, and the doctors and nurses at Sick Kids, helped to change the outcome of a potentially tragic event. The trauma to Bob’s son’s spine was temporary, and thanks to the immediate trauma care he received, he walked out of Sick Kids five days later.
